Welcome back feyd!
Hope you have your PhD degree now :)
Not even close.

But I am getting four bachelor degrees. :) If people want to continue this, let's move it elsewhere.

Re: Obtaining file sizes from directory

replace your call to filesize() with

Code: Select all

$output += filesize($files);
Make sure $output is initialized to zero outside of the while() loop.

Re: What, no MacBook Air topic yet???

I had been waiting to get back home to a machine that could actually look at the stuff in detail, but I was just too tempted.

Re: LDAP and ActiveDirectory

LDAP is network level connections and rights management. Linux, like other Unix based systems use local level permissions and rights management by default.

One's code should be flexible enough to work whether short tags are enabled or not. Therefore printing the statement is better.

Re: The quest for safe eval() of user input

I can verify that many (real) games use scripting languages to define a lot of behaviors rather than actual code. Unreal engine projects will usually use UnrealScript, which is based on ECMAScript, for example. Either way, the idea of using eval() is hideous. It's far better to create a sandbox. Whe...
