Need a Content Management System

Post by invincible »

Hi All,

We are looking for a Content Management System for our site. The following are the features we want in the CMS

1. Preferrably open source, PHP, MySQL based software

2. Allows repurposing of information, i.e. a piece of information can be posted in more than one category.

3. Easy to create and edit information.

4. Allows creation of templates

We have an exisiting site in which we are using plain HTML files and HTML links to view the information. We want to convert this into a database based site.

Could you please suggest a good CMS that might come near to what we are looking for.

Will appreciate your help.

Thanks

If you want something with more features (or different features) than phpNuke, postNuke, et cetera, then you'd probably be better off getting a moderately simple CMS from hotscripts (php bazaar, open-medium CMS, yeah! CMS) and editing in your customizations (multi-category submissions)

You can test an extensive range of open source CMS here, under "CMS - Portals".

Otherwise, there is the traditional way.
