I Am New Here
Hi. I am looking for a NICE forum to add to one of my websites. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? I can install it and everything, I was just wondering what you guys would suggest would be the BEST. Thanks.
Hi! phpBB (what you're currently looking at) is available free from http://www.phpbb.com , and it seems to be a favourite among many opensource programmers. If you're willing to pay (~$100) there's vBulletin, avialable from http://www.vbulletin.com/ , and many more (http://www.yabb.info , http://www.xmbforum.com/ , http://www.minibb.net)
Here's my list, in the order I'd recommend:
phpBB
vBulletin
YABB
XMB
miniBB
There are also a few more I've only used once or twice, like Infopop's board, burning board, electrifiedforum, gossamer threads, et al.
