PHP syntax required.

I am using the YD Recent Posts plug in with Wordpress to display thumbs on my home page and I want to only display from one category only.

The documentation states:
Custom WP Query parameters can be passed as the third argument to the function, like this:

Code: Select all

<?php display_yd_recent_posts_here( '', '', '<your query parameters here>' ) ?>
In my page template I have:

Code: Select all

<?php display_yd_previous_posts_here(3) ?>
What extra do I need to put in here to display from one category only?

I tried this, but it didn't work:

Code: Select all

<?php
$num_posts = 3; // Show last 3 posts
$cat_name = "news"; // The category to use
display_yd_previous_posts_here( $num_posts, '', 'category='.$cat_name )
?>
What syntax do I need to use?
