New Project - Long Lost Return

Post by mikemike »

Hi guys,

It's been a long long time since my last post on here, I doubt any of you remember me, but I used to be a regular contributor here, but life took over and got far too busy...unfortunately.

I've recently been working my boll*cks off recently on a project that I hope to change a lot of things. I completed testing it today and wanted to let you fine lot look at it before I try and push it to the general public. Please feel free to be critical and suggest features, I want this to be the bee's knees.

The project is called BAMify Ads, and I'm calling it the Free Ad Network. I'm sure you all know how AdSense and AdWords work, and this is (in a way) similar. In a nutshell, the idea is that website owners sign up, create an 'ad space' for their website and paste the code on their site. Similar to AdSense, this will then show random (but relevant) adverts on your website. For every impression you will receive several credits, the number of credits depends on the size of the advert -- bigger ads mean more credits.

You can use your credits to display an advert for any website/blog/Facebook page/etc across the advert. At present 1 credit = 1 impression. This is likely to change as time goes on, as this is an introductary offer to get the system off the ground. You'll also receive 2,000 credits if you sign up in the next week, so even if you choose not to put an advert on your website you'll still be able to have your advert shown 2,000 times across the network.

Apologies if this is in the wrong category, I couldn't find a showcase anywhere. I hope this doesn't come across as a shameless plug either, I'm after constructive criticism that I know this forum is excellent for - the opinions of professionals who will be using this system is what I value.

Thanks, and I'll hopefully be far more active from now on :)
