Has anyone created a facebook application?

No. I thought about it but it seems that users prefer stupid applications with 0 value instead of something that is actually worth using.

. I wanted to create a simple quiz. A user gets points when he invites other users. Then he will get points for the quiz. Then there will be a score table.

Yeah that could work. It seems like the majority op the existing facebook applications are geared into the general direction of what you want to do (quizzes to determine something and passing said quiz to friends).
