Hi there,
So I'm currently working out of 2 books, programming php and learn php, mysql, javascript and css 2nd edition. I've yet to start the former yet so I can't comment on that whilst the latter is a good book, I only wanted to pick up the basics of php/mysql in a weekend, which was surprisingly easy...However at the speed that web technologies advance it is already somewhat out dated, especially the MySQL sections (My todo list today consists of nothing but PDO).
So my question is this; What if any are the more notable books for learning PHP that either came out/coming out within 6 months of today, in your opinion?
Also as a note to the mods, wasn't sure what subsection to drop this into, if it's wrong sorry in advance.
Thanks.

I'd skip books altogether and take a look at PHP: The Right Way
