Any interest in code update tutorial?

Post by Celauran »

Something I was thinking about over the weekend. There are lots of old, outdated tutorials online, and there is an increasing number of tutorials on writing modern PHP, but there doesn't seem to be much in the way of getting from A to B. I was considering writing a series of tutorials starting with a procedural, page script based app and incrementally moving it toward a more modern, object-oriented approach. This is not a trivial amount of work, so I wanted to gauge interest before I get started.

I personally see no issues here. I think it would be a great idea. Having a forum section just for tutorials. It would also be a good idea to make tutorials on modern frameworks as well. If you're in need of anyone drafting up tutorials, I'd be happy to participate.
