Hi

I need to remove the Meta box on wordpress.
I have removed the code from the sidebar.php file:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how ... ault-theme
But that doesn't do it. It's still there, when logged in and when not logged in.

This is on the latest version of wordpress. Have they altered sometime??

I've also added the Meta to the widgets. Saved. Then removed.

I can see it in the sidebar.php file within the Editor screen.
I removed it. But on the live version it still shows.
There is no Meta widget active.

Depends on the theme, not the version of WordPress.

I found the Graphene theme to be more flexible, it can be one page or one sidebar, 2 sidebars etc

it's one of the better choices for a general site design

i have experimented with a lot of the various themes
