Wordpress Multi Language Multi Site

Post by simonmlewis »

Hi
We are looking to create a multi language site in Wordpress.

Something like:
www.domain.eu/fr
www.domain.eu/de
and so on.

We are told we can do it with Wordpress Multi site, but the bit I am unsure about, is how we change the wording of titles:
Description
Reviews
Price ... etc.

As it's different in French than in German, for example.

I know there are multi site plugins, and WooCommerce probably has a clever way to do it, but it's the language bit I am stuck on.

Thanks.
Love PHP. Love CSS. Love learning new tricks too.
All the best from the United Kingdom.

Haven't worked with WordPress in a while, so my memory might be off, but I remember Polylang being great for multi-language on the front end and there are language packs you can download for the admin area if that's required.

Well mate setting up Multi-site network on WordPress isn't difficult job if you are using a good managed platform like Cloudways or Siteground. All you need is deploy your server and there are builtin features like multisite and CDN which usally get active on one click. Cheers
