I would really appreciate if someone can tell me how to MIRROR web pages. I have heard this concept before but I am not sure how it works. Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks

Set up a mirror next to your monitor (90 degrees)...and then look sideways in it so you can see the reflection of the monitor in your mirror. All done :)

There is a tool for mozilla firebird ( not sure if it is for mozilla or just moz-firebird...). However, it is a *very* powerful mirror tool. You can check it out at http://spiderzilla.mozdev.org/ it's a little overwhelming at first (if you've never used a mirror tool). Also if you are running *nix you can use wget. 'man 1 wget'

Well, what it basically is, is just a way to locate web/ftp sites around the world so people in different areas in the world can have access to a closer server, which makes for a quicker download.

So if you have files, or a webpage you want to mirror, find someone with hosting or their own server in a particular country, or area of a country (eg. USA east and USA west); then send them all the files required to run the site.

The biggest challenge in a mirror system is to have dynamic content that is identical on all pages, and also keep ftp servers updated with all the latest downloads. But it's all part of the job, and a good challenge. ;)
