Hi All!
I run a website called stupidspammersite.com which is about indian movies. I collected a huge list of email addresses from public guestbooks and discussion boards and made them in a file. Is there any script which adds email addresses on a bul basis... Like I have my data like this :
surmah_123@yahoo.com
kvdlr@yahoo.com
gogineni_007@yahoo.com
siri_gera@rediffmail.com
rajivn2003@yahoo.com.in
me01m06@yahoo.co.in
smrc_sit@indiatimes.com
rajfromiitkgp@yahoo
One email below the other. I want it in such a way that each email becomes a subscription. Also incase there any repeated emails it must notify me. If there was a PHP script like this, I would be very, very happy. Pls let me know if there are any... Also if this had this feature it would be great - Automatically deleting off emails that bounce or those which are not valid. I would be thankful if you could do it...

FFS, can't you see what you're doing? If you want people to subscribe to your site then make a place on your site where they can do just that, harvesting e-mails is just plain rude.
Stupid spammer.

Hi all!
This is defenitely not SPAM. This is just a promotional measure. We have collected this email address from fanclubs and guestbooks. Our site is very much a topic of thier interest and we are not trying to sell some kinda product to them. How else do we make people aware of our site, other than registering it on search engines. I hope you understand it and offer some help. There is no trickery in our promotions, its straight, simple and doesnt disturb them.
ALSO -> HEY SOME ONE PLAYED A TRICK ON ME. The site name I wrote above was not stupidspammer site, but STUPIDSPAMMERSITE.com. It was really a cheap trick... I guess the mod himself would have done it, if not kindly look into this... PLzz

spam doest have to be unrelated, you didnt ask the owners if you can email them....thats why its called spam.
twig changed ur site address, its not a cheap trick, it costs around $51.33, you will get the bill in a week or 2

.
btw..you dont even have the site setup

But along with these new email addresses I also have about 1300 emails whose addresses I have collected from a survey at mutli-plexes. Atleast them I must be able to install. Also many other email consists of my personal contacts whom I know. So its not SPAM i think. I want them to know about my site...
And Quads - Cud you tell me what the 51.3$ bill is all about. I thnk you are just pulling a fast one on me...

Did you have a tick box of some sort asking whether it would be okay for you to send them "junk" emails?
If you didn't know already, spamming has just become illegal in the UK (dunno where you are situated), and you can be fined up to £5000 i think.
So, if you don't have there expressed permission, it may not be a good idea, unless you include a "get me off this damn mailing list" link in your emails.

Basically unless someone has ticked a box that says 'i would like to receive promotional e-mails from <your site name here>', then sending them a promotional e-mail is spam. Harvesting e-mail addresses is not good netiquette, nor is using e-mails collected for other purposes. Just because you think people will be interested does not mean that they will be. Plus sending large amounts of unsolicited e-mail (i.e. spam) can mean that your e-mail server is blacklisted and you are unable to send any e-mails, unsolicited or not.

Btw. unsolicited email is illegal in the UK since December. Heavy fines for spammers!
Shame the US has, in a weird way, relaxed the laws regarding spam.

where did google,yahoo,devnetwork,.. get all of their users? They never sent any mail to anyone who didn't ask for it..
if you got a good site, people will find it... you can always post it in the newsgroups (if it's related, else you'll get flamed there too

)
