Date and time format

I would like to know how can i extract the date and time info from all this numbers ???
Coz in my database it is save as 1071576558 which i dont see any meaning of it. How can i extract the following numbers to 2003/12/16 12:09 pm or maybe into a different format like 16/12/2003 12:09 pm ??

Use date()
For example echo date("jS F Y", "1071576558") might print out something like 1st January 2004

Which database are you using? You may be able to format the date in your SQL SELECT statement.

currently i am using mysql as my database. I would like to know how can i sort the date from the most recent date to the list recent date ???
and also after getting the date, how can i make like if the user login at 19/12/2003 9:30pm and the current time is 20/12/2003 11:58pm, it will display "This user login 1 day, 2 hours and 28 minutes ago"??
