What kind of ads?
I see nothing, so I'm not sure what you mean.

If I see nothing, and you do, it might because I use Mozilla Firebird with the adblock extension. http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firebird/

other ideas is to edit your host file to redirect ad-server-farms to localhost/127.0.0.1 ( http://www.ecst.csuchico.edu/~atman/spam/adblock.shtml )

A simple google search found alot of resources.

not sure, but if you're serious about web design i'd suggest buying hosting, there are tons of really cheap plans, especially if you only need a small amount of webspace/bandwidth

and if theres no way (hard to believe), that you can pay for hosting, then you could always talk to someone who hosts others, do him/her a few favors and in return hopefully they will give you a free account, that's what i did (it got me unlimited hosting and 2 domains ;) )

Free hosts almost all have ads of some kind, either that or the service is godawful (or both, usually both). You have to deal with it or pay for a real host.

One way is to do some javascript.

[Edit:
This would not work on this particular host alone. There are ways (personally tested) that works, but as most (?) of us belive that free hosting is great even if banners completely might mess up the page(s), we/I cannot provide the means for it.

There are hosts that are free and bannerless/adless ad supports php. Just search some more, and use the webhost section on this board for guidance.

but this is illegal
