DNS changing?

Post by Phoenixheart »

Ok, I know this topic have no relation to PHP, but please help me if you could. I have a domain name, but it was registered by another one, so I don't know where my domain name was registered. Now my hosting company tells me that I have to change my DNS. How can I do this? Is there any site that can change my DNS info other than the one that registered my domain? Thanks!

Have you tried a whois search? It just might list the registrar used for the domain. There's also an ownership issue - if someone else purchased this domain, you WILL need their password to access any DNS settings... They really should transfer the domain to an account you hold with the registrar.

I'd check with whoever purchased it for you...
