PHPTriad newbie - where is my control panel?

Post by boswells »

I am very interested in learning how to use php so I downloaded PHPTriad. Running on a W2k Prof machine, I installed triad, disabled IIS service and started the apache service (kept it in my taskbar). The thing I can't understand is why I am unable to open the PHPTriad Control Panel.

Does anyone have any suggestions where I might be going wrong?

When I connect to http:/localhost I see a welcome page on Triad... but this is not the control panel.

Sorry if this seems rudimentary to some... I'm only just starting out with PHP.

Ive never used any of those pre-bundles, but I doubt If it does come with a 'Control Panel'.

What exactly do you want to do with a cp?

Pre-bundles

In the PHPTriad bundle, the control panel is opened as a web page but enables you to start and stop services, etc (which I realise I can do eslewhere), and enables easier admin of any php sites you may have running.

Just playing around with this particular pre-bundle and wondered if anyone had had previous experiences with PHPTriad and could offer any suggestions on its installation.

Might just stick to the good old Notepad for now until I'm a bit more comfortable with this.
