How is this possible? Avoid Registering if you have yahoo gm

Post by matt1019 »

Hi guys,

One of the sites I visited today has this feature:

If you are a member of either Yahoo, Gmail, or MSN you can completely skip the "Registration" Part and "Log in" using your Yahoo/Gmail/MSN username and password.

My Question is, how in the world is this possible? I mean.... what is the connection between the site and yahoo/gmail/msn ?

thanks, I look forward to the replies, as I can't wait to learn this!

Sounds fishy. Make sure they're not just stealing your Yahoo/Gmail/MSN account...

There are scripts available which given a username/password, will login to your yahoo/gmail/etc accounts and copy your entire address book. I don't trust this capability as your flat out giving them the email addresses of everyone you know and a lot of times it's probably used for spam. Additionally with access to your Email, they can access a lot of other things as well...

I don't remember ever hearing them called anything in particular. You might want to look around on hotscripts.com or something similar.
