I'm an interested and eager web designer wanting to get a good grasp of learning PHP. I have a handful of useful books, but I was wondering if anyone is aware of any kind of interactive learning guides, ie. DVD, CD, etc.?

Thanks for any assistance you can offer!

Can't say I do... I honestly have never even heard of interactive learning guides for php. I would just get a really good book(s). Worked for me. Here's some books I've read or heard good things about:

Any O'Reilly book... they're excellent
(Actually I've found Apress books to be very well written as well)

For the beginner: (heard good things about this book)

Here's a good one for once you get into OOP and advanced PHP (read this... it's great)

there are also online (live) classes that you can take provided by zend.

http://www.zend.com/education/php_train ... es/courses

they cost a pretty penny. you can pretty much find any help you will ever need on the internet for free. books are good for reference.

and i'm with ninja, all of the o'reilly series is incredible.
