Enough is enough, if you have nothing constructive to say don't say anything at all.

OK
here is the Ultimate proof that provs that its working. Please see this Video compleately.
http://www.youtube.com/watch_fullscreen ... %20testing. And please remember 1 thing speed testing is such a thing that depends on teh server where the script is running So if the server is down it cant give the actual result. and the major problem is most of the servers in India is Server speed and remember that this script is hosted in an Indian Server. So may be when you have tested then the server is low. and 1 more thing is other commercial speed testing sites uses more than one server and a Huge junk file for accuracy. but as its not commercial as its just for testing its not using that much Huge file and hosted in only One SHARED Server. remember its a shared server.
The Above video shows
speedtest.net -> 228 Kbps
bandwidthplace.com -> 224.5
This script -> 221.50
So this all Are near about same
NOTE:
As my speed is not static and fixed constant it varies time to time
So if you want to reply Please reply To
this Post and
after Seeing that video
Although Video quality is low everybody can understand it.

http://www.indoservices.org/skillbound/spd.php gave me accurate values for three different dsl connections from 2mbit to 6mbit.

I thought you were testing bandwidth, not server, speed.

I am testing the Visitor's speed

Their connection speed or their server speed? I am just wondering how your server has anything to do with their connection.

The server's upload capacity has to be higher than the client's download capacity.

So the lengthy discussion we had about his script being server dependent before (which he vehemently denied) is accurate, to an extent?

Show me a method that isn't. It's always measuring the smaller of both capacities.

I am sorry for bashing, I was ignorant.

Each and everything that can be done serverside or interacts is 100% (not 99.99%) server dependant (Not only speed testing).
Imagine If the Server's Speed is much less than the cliants speed then the total thing will be a small example of Brute force Attack and also.
and if the server is running at a speed of 50 KBPs and cliant is requesting at a Speed of 500Kbps See what will happen. Cliant will request at a speed of 500 Kbps to the server but its cant serv that content with that speed it can serv the cntent that content up to 50 KBps (as its the server's Maximum speed) thats why It will show the user's connection speed as 50Kbps.
the maximum speed testing sites has unlimited bandwidth and runs in a speed thats more than 20 Mbps and it test your speed with a binary file bigger than 1 MB for accuracy and here to save his bandwidth (dharprog) he is using only 512 KB binary file to test Speed (Its custmizable in the script).

So whats the conclution of this long Discussion ??
Is it working ??
