And I get this error message:
Fatal error: Cannot use assign-op operators with overloaded objects nor string offsets in D:\web\vhosts\arkfamily.org\httpdocs\MZ\cURL\index_submit.php on line 30

What the heck does this mean? Anyone know how to fix it? Notice the Javascript also had '>>>'' binary operators which PHP doesn't have. Is there a PHP equivalent to '>>>'?

php already has md5 built-in, so what exactly are you trying to do?

This particular code has an hmac_md5 algorithim in it. It's more secure than just MD5 for the login form I'm using. I'm communicating via a socket (long story) and so I can't pass the variables I need encoded to javascript and have them come back without leaving the page and breaking my socket. That's why I'm trying to get it into PHP code so I can eliminate the Javascript altogether.

http://www.zend.com/code/codex.php?id=962&single=1

PHP doesn't have a zerofill shift operator (the >>> operator). Use the function zeroFill() listed on the Zend page in place of any >>> operator in your PHP code.

IE:

Code: Select all

$x[((($len + 64) >>> 9) << 4) + 14] = $len;
// turns into:
$x[(zeroFill($len + 64,9) << 4) + 14] = $len;

I assume you have downloaded this code from http://www.pajhome.org.uk/crypt/md5/
If you are modifying open source software don’t delete the license header.
I don’t know what you may or may not do with a BSD License.

If you don’t have installed php crypt than you can use the php md5() implementation and only program the HMAC section.
Here I found a working solution:
http://nl3.php.net/manual/en/function.md5.php#56934
