finally i got it.
this is the learning path for any one who wants to start SEO
books:
1. Brad Callen's "SEO Made Easy "
2. Aaron Wall's "SEO Book"
Some extra valuable reading for newbies:

Don't restrict yourself to reading only books. Books are good to know the basics mainly on-page stuffs. But when that book was written something might have been useful which has turned out to be total JUNK today.
So stay updated and read tons.
The search industry is a very dynamic industry
where something or the other is happening every minute.
The main thing is to Read, Implement/ Experiment and again re-read.
Read the blogs of famous search marketers such as
1. Rand Fishkin,
2. Aaron Wall,
3. Andy Beal,
4. Jill Whallen,
5. Matt cutts etc.
Set up a bloglines account so that you're the first to know what changes are happening.
