I'm new to PHP - just installed it four hours ago - and am writing a simple CMS for entirely learning purposes. Can someone look through what I have and give me any tips or pointers?
Before you're turned off by the "four hours ago," I've been reading tutorials and browsing projects for a couple of days. I'm a software engineering intern at a small company that writes ASP.NET web applications and have been working there for quite some time, so I know a fair amount about web programming (oddly, despite how much I learn, I seem to know less every day).
As you know, each language has its obscurities and oddities; I'm trying to learn those as quickly as possible. Efficiency and simplicity are my two main concerns.
How might I improve upon them in this project?
Thanks in advance,
Steve

Re: Code review?
Download a file? No interest...
Use [ php ][ / php ] to post your code (without the spaces).
Additionally when you're new to any forum you should take at least a few seconds to read the forum descriptions as way too many people flood forums that are completely OT from the topic they post about.
