I'm after a custom made php shopping cart script, one where i can design the website layout and then insert certain parts of the script to where i want. Is this possible? If so, does anyone know where i can download one?

Thanks for your time
Try a script site, there are dozens of them. This is not one.
I have been working for long with osCommerce and can recommend it as it is open source and it is highly customizable.
The code is very simple for understanding and logically structured.
heard lots of good things about osCommerce, but never used it personally. Wrote some myself on several occasions, but the requirements were always fairly simple.
Ive just seen on the osCommerce website, other peoples websites with the shopping cart script added. I see this website is a brilliant example of what im after! - http://shops.oscommerce.com/directory/goto,26419 . So now its a case of learning to edit the css to how i want it.
Have you edited this script at all, KimberlyMon?
And Kieran? did/do you live in Biggleswade? Its just, i know that surname!
My opinion here. Watch out for scriptsite downloadable scripts when it comes to eCommerce, or if you were to roll your own eCommerce package. These days, things are changing so dramatically with eCommerce that your little script or home-grown thing would likely be out of usefulness within a year and a half. There's legislation going on everywhere as countries are trying to squeeze their tax bases, and charging taxes online is just around the corner, unfortunately. In the future, we'll all have to pay for tax table clearinghouses in order to have the if/then and lookup logic necessary to make accurate tax assessment on our eCommerce sites. Plus, PayPal has redone their API like three times in the past decade, breaking a lot of apps.
So, when it comes to eCommerce, my advice is to go with something professional, or use only the top packages out there with active development (VirtueMart, OSCommerce, ZenCart), or outsource that part to an online service that handles it for you.
