I am currently using a small script that will post the data into text format, however I would like to be able to post it into tables. I would like to be able to do something like this, http://home.comcast.net/~five.tiger/462.html#top.

Re: Posting Data into tables
This is the current code I am using, the forums that I post this one uses the bold and underline commands like that. I would like to be able to have that data come out in html tables.
Code: Select all
$result_.= 'versus [-b][-u]'.$team2.'[-/u][-/b] '.$score." - $team1_ on offense<br>".Re: Posting Data into tables
I can't see the organization of data that would permit you to store it as a database. The very first requirement for a database is to organize your data into tables and fields. I wouldn't even begin to try to do that for you, because only you know the meaning of all those little pieces of data. The underlying principle is that a database is a "model" of some part of the real world, that contains "entities", which means either People or Objects or Events or Documents, etc. Each entity will become a table. Then you will have to decide what "attributes" each entity has. As an example, if one entity is a Team, some of the attributes of that entity might be TeamName, City, Sponsor, League, etc. Those attributes become the Fields in the table "Teams". Until you can develop such a data structure, or "schema", you can't proceed any further with storing your data in a database.
Databases are not at all like text files, or spreadsheets, where you can just stuff data into a file. Databases are highly organized.
