I decided to attempt to write my own forum software and seeing as I'm no graphics artist you will have to excuse what I've done so far.
I would like to know your opinions of making such software. Like how hard it would be or what features to include.
Here is what is done so far: the categories and boards... not the posting or viewing or member registration/management or an admin section yet. Only viewing the categories and the boards and maybe the breadcrumb thing that shows where you are and the pages to go through all the posts.
Also should it be skinnable where other more talented people could make it more graphically appeasing?

Re: Your opinions of a Forum(board) software
ok.. sooo how do I post?
well yeah your site is working along with the query and display stuff... but I wanted to check the administrator area who will be moderating the threads, along with the replies, plus the managing of categories, and members, registration, webpage layout, backup, you know stuff like those....
regarding your design, hey you're not alone cause i'm with you hehehe.. typically I steal or use css templates made by others.

Well as I said the post functions are not done yet as I haven't had time to work on it much. But eventually I'll probably steal a css template.
