I'm building a dinamic page (http://www.contrakulutra.com/dinamica) and i have an administrator page that updates all the information in the database.
I need the administrator to work with html enriched text to use bold and italic text in the fields in the database.
So I need and online wysiwyg html editor to insert records and one to upadte them (so i need a visualization feature for updates)
But the worst problem is that i need that editor to work in Macintosh OS X that's the worst problem because all editors work for PC and Explorer from 5.5 and above.
If anyone knows where can I find or buy that tool im talking, I would appreciate it very much.
I tried with an editor, but it only worked in the PC, and my client uses only Mac, so i need to get it working in Mac.
I also tried EditLive 2.5 taht is programmed in Java and it worked but it's a very complex one, i need one that only makes bold and italic changes to text, and to detect this things when text comes from word or another html source.
Thanks a lot
I need a wysiwyg online html text editor

Yes, HTML Area is quite nice.
There's also KTML as well, if the above doesn't work for you.

Not sure if it's Mozilla-friendly.

umm... you are having trouble finding something for OSX???? umm... osx is better than previous mac oses for a wide variety of reasons... among them the fact it's POSIX COMPATIBLE.
this means ANYTHING FOR LINUX/UNIX CAN BE "PORTED" TO OSX.
more over, it means most already have ports.
try searching on http://www.freshmeat.org and the other posix sites. you will find MULTITUDES of native html editors and editors capable of html such as xemacs and emacs.
please excuse anything that may seem rude.. it's just that i know for a fact that there are a number of editors out there that are far superior to anything originally made for windows.. and that some of them have had ports made for winblows. since they are posix native they are far better and more developed and updated much more frequently for osx.
