Learning, always learning
I'm trying to learn to use div and span and css in place of tables. CAn anyone point me to a good tutorial? I've googled it and I got some good stuff on css, but I can't find a lot on using div and span tags. I guess thats probably because they don't really have any attributes themselves, but there's got to be something??
There was a massive discussion about this here - viewtopic.php?t=19552

hi,
I can't recommend http://www.alistapart.com highly enough for those wishing to make the change. I suggest you look over the 'CSS' section under 'Hot Topics' on the RHS, but you'll a lot wherever you go in the site. The administrator and contributors all know their shiznit and point you to other places as well.
You could also try: http://www.webstandards.org/learn/ has loads of info and also explains why ppl should be switching to CSS which I think is just as important. If you understand why you're doing it then you tend to be more accepting of it rather than just doing it cos you think you have to and mr jones next door is doing it anyway...
