That looks like a port/plugin of Eclipse.

I've used it, and it's awesome... but it has NO proper support for php, aside from standard text editting. As soon that at the VERY least it supports syntax highlighting, i'll be forced (*sigh*) to stick with quanta.

php dev on linux can be a real pita

I'm curious if php plugin will work with aptana.

However in any case, PHP support is down the road

You could just use the plugin version. :)

Unfortunatly that is only so it will actually open php files natively, it does nothing for highlighting :(

I cannot wait until it's supported, I would almost prefer a small patch or a "bug"-fix release to get php highliting implemented, as it's the only thing holding me back.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but it seemed appropriate. I just have to sing the praises of the guys who have developed this because I just downloaded it and have been playing around with it on the Mac version of Eclipse and.... WOW! I don't believe there any alternative IDEs for JavaScript available and this is a godsend. Being able to examine variables at specific points in JavaScript was always a tedious task until now.

EDIT | God I love it! I just found the stupidest problem with my API by using it and I would have spent ages pulling hairs out without it.
