Palary Web-Browser...

Post by JellyFish »

I though this was quite interesting to me for the fact that I was thinking of making one, http://palary.com. So I google Ajax browser and found an article about this one in particular on ajaxian.com. This doesn't quite come with many features such as history and such.

So my deal is this. I'd like to know your opinion on making a web browser using Javascript and what not. Is it a good idea or a bad one?

seems kind of stupid... don't you need a browser in order to use it??? That doesn't make any sense.

Good point. But I forgot to mention that I'd be using microsofts HTML Application (HTA) to run it of the desktop.

Yeah sorry about that. So do you think it'll be to much trouble though? Like would there be to many problems with other JavaScript webpages?

Consider I use Frames to have the navigation buttons, webpage and status bar. And if any website uses the window.top javascript command, expecting to get the frame they want in their webpage would they instade get the frame I'm using for my web browser?

This is an issue I wasn't quite sure even could be an issue.
