Bleeding Edge Web Design: Who's Who?

I'm curious about who is considered a bleeding edge web designer and for what particular reasons?

Also more specifically is there anyone who has actively taken advantage of the application/xhtml+xml media type and has introduced their own new custom elements, attributes, and values?

I bleed.

Wait.. what was the question?

I use custom DTDs, attributes and namespaces. I got into it to avoid all this "use classes for everything" malarkey that's spreading everywhere. That being said, I don't use it nearly as often now that I've found my beloved jQuery.

I think "bleeding edge" is a mindset, not a practice. If you're always trying to push the boundaries of your tools, then you're "bleeding" over the "edge". Just stay off the carpet.
