After tons of searching, I'm more confused than I was to being with so I'll ask you all. How can I get the current time in UTC using JavaScript? (UTC is approximately the same as GMT by the way.)

Here's something I found on the net...

[syntax="javascript"]
ourDate = new Date();
document.write("The time and date at your computer's location is: "
+ ourDate.toLocaleString()
+ ".<br/>");
document.write("The time zone offset between local time and GMT is "
+ ourDate.getTimezoneOffset()
+ " minutes.<br/>");
document.write("The time and date (GMT) is: "
+ ourDate.toGMTString()
+ ".<br/>");
Will that work?
