Immix JavaScript Framework v0.0.1 on SourceForge

Hi everyone.

I hope it's appropriate to post this invitation here to my OpenSource project I created over at SourceForge.

It's called Immix, and is basically just another JavaScript Framework hoping to be much like YUI!, Ext 2.0, JQuery, MooTools, Prototype, Scriptaculous and many more. (I figured I'd put my lifespan to something useful.)

I need some folks to help out with testing and debugging the code, and hopefully become long term friends in the development cycle of Immix.

As I said, the project is OpenSource and released under the GNU/GPL license.

The project can be found at http://sourceforge.net/projects/immix-js/

Thanks in advance for the help.

Honestly I can hardly decide which to use of the really incredible libraries you list above -- all supported by teams and communities. I don't think learning another library is a realistic option for most web developers at this point given the current embarrassment of riches.

Hi arborint!

I have to agree with you, there are a lot of frameworks to choose from, and it is quite a challenge finding the right package for oneself. I suppose each has their strengths and weaknesses, and where the frameworks pretty much come to a par with each other, I suppose it's a matter of personal preference.

Are you going to drive a Mercedes, a BMW, or an Audi, they will all get you from A to B! It does not matter which one you drive, each one will get you wherever with the same effectiveness. I think Immix pretty much compares to those little Tata's or other vehicles sticking their heads out in countries like China, India and who knows where. Still, some of them may be made of tin, but they still get to Point B... ... ...most of the time. :)

Simply put, my ride is pimped, and I can rip out its guts without worrying that it's going to break down on me.

Thanks for your post.

Perhaps you could post some code examples to show how your library compares to jQuery or Prototype (which are well known here). Then people could get a feel of what you are trying to achieve, and you might get some valuable feedback.
