Drupal over WordPress

XML, Perl, Python, and other languages can be discussed here, even if it isn't PHP (We might forgive you).

Drupal over WordPress

Post by volomike »

The trends from multiple angles I have researched on the web show that Drupal and WordPress are the leading CMS platforms. They are the ones with the highest search trends, the ones with the highest number of job openings, and the ones you most likely see listed on resumes and developer portfolio sites.

Right now, WP is in the lead according to the average of these stats when combined together.

I am writing an article on Drupal right now. I'm not sold on the product as much as I am on WordPress, but I know Drupal well, have used it on gigs and will continue to use it on some specialized gigs where it is best suited.

What I need for my article, however, are your opinions (if you have any) on why you think you like Drupal over WordPress or any other CMS you've used. What is special about it for you that makes it a compelling choice?

I could have gone off to the Drupal.org site and asked this, and I may still do that, but I really wanted a more unbiased opinion here from those who have used multiple CMS platforms.
