Two-way SMS gateway?

I'm looking for a two-way SMS gateway to use with my software.
Has anyone used any companies?
I need it to send SMS messages all around the world. Is this possible from one supplier or would I have to use multiple suppliers?

Is one I have seen on several web sites, advertising. While that doesn't mean much, at least it means they have financial backing (to some degree) and won't disappear tomorrow, hopefully?
Cheers,
Alex

I don't have any personal experience but I have heard many good things about "Nexmo". You should give it a try.

You won't find any company providing two-way SMS gateway worldwide, if you wish to receive SMS using local numbers and the best solution is contacting local companies.
If it's OK for you to receive SMS sent to long numbers such as +44 7951 123456 it's easier.
I would recommend you Altiria. They can provide you two-way SMS gateway in some countries:
