Help Wanted : Reg a NewsPosting script in PHP, w/o MySQL

Post by megabb »

Hi!

i am an amateur webmaster, i have no great idea in php, but know some HTML. I am running a site on movies and have many coulmns in it. I wanted to know if there is any script that runs with a flat-file database, without MySQL and has categories facility available. There is one called CuteNews, but its kinda complicated... so incase anyone of you know please tell me. Or there use to be one script called - "TXNEWS" which doesnt have categories, but one of the best scripts I ever used. The webmaster downed the site, and the script is no longer avail... Does some one know a script similar to TxNews? Or are there any other simple news-posting scripts where in I can change the templates regularly...

With regs,

Also -> We could be able to insert the "headlines" of other categories in this page. It would be great, if there was a feature of archiving in it. Sumbody - plz help! :x

Hmm, I'm not sure, but I doubt it very much you'll get help... given your other posting here.

Sorry....

Cute News is the best Flat File news system i have seen. I use it on my site. It isn't complicated at all, it comes with an installer to get you set up and all the options are configured within the admin area, no need to edit any PHP files.
