Where do I go if I want to download Linux?

I want to run PHP and MySQL on Linux because I heard it is the best way to go.

Have you considered going to Google and searching on 'download linux'?
http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid ... load+linux

and of course there's http://www.linux.com and their beginners guide:

even with eDonkey you find your ISOs
I'm going to get used to www.gentoo.org very nice system but takes a bit longer (if you take a look don't forget to visit the forum)
as linux-on-cd I found knoppix (sorry, site's in german) quite useful.

Just a suggestion, but don't use mandrake....its very buggy....i suppose u could get the old distribution....but I suggest Debian.....even if you're a starter. There are bound to be guides online to help you...and in the end, Debian shant let you down.

Mandrake 9.0 final has been released now. I find it is very good, and easy to set up.
