Static and Virtual IP on one machine
Posted: Tue Jul 13, 2004 6:48 pm
I have WinXP Pro, cable modem and vpn to my ISP (there is Cable service provider between the two of us)
3 pc's
1 gateway with VPN connection (special connection settings, and I get virtual IP when I connect)
2 PC's behind the gateway - webservers
I need the gateway to be able to mask (or replace - to show) static IP adress to the internet (i got it form my ISP), this is however (for me) impossible because the VPN needs the network bridge on the gateway to have certain settings to be able to connect and when it connects IP adress it receives is virtual
What do I need to do in order to get static IP on the gateway and preserve VPN?
Thanks Ahead, really urgent.
