XML, Perl, Python, and other languages can be discussed here, even if it isn't PHP (We might forgive you).

Transmit live streaming video on LAN from TV Card?

Post by Chris Corbyn »

Hi,

Does anyone know of any software that could take video from a conexant capture device and audio from microphone then stream it via http or another protocol in windows media format over a 100mbit LAN? Doesn't need to be suitable for internet as such, just for LAN since it'll be a high bitrate no doubt.

Thanks :-)

Just found the answer... Download Windows Media encoder v7 or higher.

Set it up to take video from conexant capture and audio from mic then choose the output settings and you can broadcast your tv signal across a LAN at just about full quality for 26Mbit/s or online via http at pretty decent quality at approx 512kbs. Pretty impressive.
