Screenshot Display of Movie Clip? (JavaScript or PHP?)

XML, Perl, Python, and other languages can be discussed here, even if it isn't PHP (We might forgive you).

Screenshot Display of Movie Clip? (JavaScript or PHP?)

Post by joetheeskimo5 »

I put this question under "Miscellaneous" because I'm not sure if it would require PHP or JavaScript. Heck, I'm not even sure it's possible.

Basically, I have a list of movies, to which a user can submit a movie clip (Like Google Video, but smaller).
I'm wondering if it's possible to have a screenshot of each movie displayed automatically next to the movie, like on AltaVista, Google Video, YouTube, etc., where a user doesn't have to go to the trouble of taking a screenshot himself.
Is this possible? If so, would it require JavaScript or PHP? Or a different scripting language?

Thanks,
Joe
