Accessing a File
hey guys, i'm getting this error 'The instruction at "0x00000000" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read".' ( <--- generic version) when trying to access a .pdf on a local server through IE6. does anyone have any idea what this is about?

this is actually a problem on a coworkers computer...his computer is slow as it is, and his work requires a lot of applications to be open at once. firefox takes up more resources than IE so i'd rather not do that. plus, i'm not convinced that it's just an IE problem, i think it might be a WIN 2k problem

Even if you open everything up in seperate tabs instead of seperate browser windows?snowrhythm wrote:this is actually a problem on a coworkers computer...his computer is slow as it is, and his work requires a lot of applications to be open at once. firefox takes up more resources than IE so i'd rather not do that. plus, i'm not convinced that it's just an IE problem, i think it might be a WIN 2k problem

I also recommend installing Foxit PDF Reader...it's much faster than Adobe Acrobat reader.
