I dont know why you and others keep asking for only people who live around you.. Come on now, within 3 area codes? You will never find someone on this forum. This is the land of the internet people. Most of us developers can work just fine or even better from a remote location (our homes).

There are many reasons one would rather have a developer close by. While you may work find from a remote location, they may still want you to come in and speak with them one on one. And they don't feel like negotiating for travel expenses.

I understand that completely.. But why look for people on the internet.. Look locally, not globally.. This guy is looking for someone within 3 area codes. That is a VERY small area.

Yes, but with the number of hits we get here, I wouldn't be surprised if they find someone.

I am in total agreement that my needs are very specific, in fact too specific. Unfortunately, I am at the mercy of my client that requires them to be on site some/most of the time. They have been with burned by programmers with travel/commute issues and do not want to deal with this issue. So while I can not do anything about this job I promise to do my best at educating the client to give this another try. In the meantime, I am still looking if you are in those area codes.

I hate that mentality webmasters get when just ONE programmer burns them.

I'm not sure where you live k_|ine but for me 3 area codes is a huge area.
Since I live in BC Canda if some one posted the 3 area codes I could work any where in BC as well as a big chunk of Alberta or a large portion of washington state.
