SKILLED PHP DEVELOPER FOR COMPANY IN STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN

Nu Creatives client is building a completely new search engine for jobs, which has pioneered the Swedish and Danish market with a new and improved approach to job search. In less than 2 years after launching, they have positioned themselves as one of the leading jobsites in Sweden. We are now looking for skilled and passionate developers to join their growing team.
Their backend is built mostly with PHP on Linux, so you need to know how to move around in Linux and be familiar with the latest features of the PHP language.

Experience and skills
You have formal education in computer science, software engineering, or are a highly self-trained. You do not just know PHP; you know programming in general. You do not just know how to type "class" in PHP; you have a good grasp of layered architectures, OOAD and OO-Patterns. You do not just know some SQL and using phpMyAdmin; you understand relational modeling and design, pros and cons of the relational model, and possible alternatives. You are always eager to learn new things and improve your skills. You pay attention to details and value quality over quantity. You come up with robust, long-term solutions, but you also know how to do a "quick fix" if needed. You are familiar with a set of tools for testing, debugging, and optimizing your code. You are aware of TDD and using PHPUnit, Simpletest, Selenium, and/or some tools for Continuous Integration. When you work on the front-end, you always use valid HTML, CSS and JavaScript. You are familiar with web standards, semantic code, and cross-browser compatibility issues. You speak and write English fluently.

Experience with cloud computing solutions, particularly Amazon's Cloud Computing services (EC2)
Some understanding of a modeling "language" to express and understand systems, databases, or ideas; e.g., UML, DFD, Chen, ERD, crow-foot, or plain boxes and arrows.
Experience from scaling and setting up load-balanced systems.
Experience from search and content-similarity algorithms.
