The LAMP (Linux Apache MySQL PHP) Developer position is responsible for development and enhancement of open systems software. This position oversees the development and health of Web sites and applications. If you have ever wanted to be involved with Music, Games or entertainment whilst pushing the boundaries of technology - This position is for you!

Skills

• Mastery level knowledge and experience working with open source, high traffic Web site applications (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, Drupal, etc).
• Coordinate a team of developers to work together on a large scale project in the same environment
• Mastery knowledge of Web site deployment using Content Management Systems (CMS), managing and maintaining, multiple Web sites for large environments.
• Experience using source control revision system including Subversion and Git.
• Expert understanding of networking principles, including network security and DNS.
• Write highly optimized and engineered PHP code
• Strong background in application and infrastructure design
• Continually expands knowledge in the areas of new developments and trends.
• Must be detailed in documenting information and practice good follow through techniques.
• Ability to develop reports and presentations that effectively communicates important business data.
Special Requirements/Preferences
• Real-world experience with large scale Web and e-commerce sites
• Must have expertise with Model-View-Controller paradigm
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
• High-level understanding of CSS, Javascript and JQuery a plus
• Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.
• Excellent problem solving abilities, coupled with a desire to take on responsibility.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science and six (6) full-time years of Information Technology and LAMP related applications experience
• Or Ten (10) full-time years of Information Technology and LAMP related application experience
• Knowledge of applications such as Magento for e-commerce
