Hello gang,
I'm an all round creative person and problem solver. I have interests in many things, passion for everything I do, and curiosity - which I believe drives me and allows such versatility in my skill set.
I don't like talking about myself, and the following list could sound like I'm making it up, but I am a programmer and an artist, and have had good success at both. Here are some highlights.
1) Great with php, JQuery, javascript, HTML, CSS, Content Management, Making smart layouts that adapt for different devices (wrote my own snappy template recently tested on multiple devices)
2) Spoke at PHPCon in New York City in 2003 - yes I've been doing this a long time and I'm only 34
3) Worked on two Holywood feature films in a technical/artistic role as a matte painter/concept artist/3d artist. Contact me for the titles, they are well known movies.
4) Great with Photoshop, Maya, Zbrush and more. I have used Python in Maya for fun.
5) I paint and play music daily. I have songs on the radio. Written, produced, and performed by yours truly.
6) I'm quite modest, but sure of myself at the same time. Very friendly and genuinely nice. I get along well with team mates and can lead, but I also like to work independently.
7) I like to travel, and take pictures using 35mm slide film and color print film. I just started shooting 16mm motion picture film too.
8) I used to run my own business and had Lucasfilm Ltd. as a client.
9) I do video editing at my current full-time job and make motion graphics for TV too. Then flip over to programmer mode the next day.
10) I'm happy where I'm at right now, but curious about global opportunities. Thus, why I'm here.
11) I made three dynamic sites when I was in College (as a personal challenge) for match making, sharing global views, and social networking, before LavaLife, Twitter or Facebook. In other words, I like to try to come up with new ideas for the heck of it.
12) Oh yeah, I love tennis! I have played NCAA level players and coached a former world number 1 player's kids - by chance. But I did it none the less. :) Picture to prove it.
13) I have a music production studio at home with world class studio monitors, mixing console, and can't stop playing guitar. Yes I'm just very into creating.
14) 14 is the number of my favourite hockey player growing up. He was an underdog, and I felt like I could relate. Let's go get em guys!
Please touch base with me if you have a job for a guy like me. With my drive, and your challenging projects, I'm sure there's a job out there somewhere that would see me traveling the world and doing the things I love, and sharing my passion for creative problem solving.
