Check out Scriptlance.

I've been a member for nearly a year and I think it's an okay place to find clients. 8)

( Edit: got off topic a bit so I switched the title. ;) )

You can also go to http://www.freelancers.net - it's extremely crowded, however. Job offerers get about 500 replies to each offer they make, it's quite rare to get a job through that.

$30 is <span style='color:blue' title='I&#39;m naughty, are you naughty?'>smurf</span>, i listed myself on scriptlance with that

sami also has himself listed as $30 (which is ridiculious btw sami, your a PHP legend)

i expect more like $60-$100 except people wanting my services would probably dismiss me when they seen that, so thats why i listed it like that

We bill our services around $130 - $150
But this is not freelance, it's a "pro company" (.NET)

For my personal work I'm much lower. I try to define package prices (news module, job module etc). So I usually work for peanuts on the first project but make better money on the second version. I also have to adapt to the type of client. But this is only pocket money for me anyway, so I don't rely on it.

yeah well im currently in the midst of launching a web company offering web design and application solution (site should be launching in 2-3 days)

have 4 friends working with me but im the head guy as im the only one with a good working knowledge of various languages (PHP, actionscripting, coldfusion etc)

hopefully (and i believe it will) this will give me a very very tidy profit each month and i will be quitting my £30k a year job if it does

keep your fingers crossed for me everyone

Interesting stuff. I was curious to know what people can earn doing this full time.

Mary was a good person. How dare you speak her name in vain! ;)

I have always been paid by the difficulty of the project, not on hours needed.

hm..yep, $30 is low, freelance site is like a battle ground...for programmers lol, nerds attacking nerds .

i charge $45/hour, also package based, depends on amount of work, i just give the clients a choice and then its up to them., this is only part time...if 6am counts as part time lol. got full time college too :).

hehe Scriptlance attracts people who think slave labour is what web developers are all about; so the prices there are really low for everything. It's those damn teenagers and foreigners I tells ya! (Uh oh, I just pulled a Don Cherry!) Err um...I hope I don't get put on 7 min post delay now! :o
