clueless, php for me?

Post by robloud »

i started on computer science in college, blah, blah, blah, got more into graphic design and now have no clue which direction to go. i was asked to do a site that needs users to be able to post to message boards, have password protected profiles, search engine for within the site...something like a monster.com, but not the same premise. any help is much appreciated...i may even be looking for a freelancer to help me with this if i decide its not worth the effort. thanks.

Sounds like a pretty ambitious project....

My word of advice is ...

Get at least 30% of the estimated cost from your client before you even boot up your computer to start work.

I got burnt so many times doing these kind of jobs.

Also..

don't bite off more than you can chew!

well then, if people around here could do it in a snap, what the price someone would charge for something like this? email me privately to talk more specificly. again, i am not looking to pick this up in a week, or even a month. i do wish to learn, but if it is not worth the effort, i pass it on to someone else and stick to what i am good out which would be more the visual aspects of the site...thanks again!
