Open Positions - PHP/DB Developer & LAMP Architect

Hey everyone,

I wanted to introduce myself and let you all know that I'm currently looking for enterprise-level PHP developers for positions in the U.S. These are full-time, on-site, direct placement positions.

HotLinuxJobs is looking for a smart and enthusiastic PHP developer with strong database administration skills to design and build the data back end and user interface for this company's broadcast video products.

Qualifications:
* 2 years of solid PHP development experience on Linux with medium to large scale successfully deployed projects
* Working knowledge of database design and SQL
* Familiarity with PostgreSQL or MySQL databases
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field of study

Software Architect (LAMP)
Salary: Competitive - Direct Hire
Boca Raton, FL -
The purpose of this position is to design large-scale systems and network solutions. Specifies hardware/network components, specifies projects, cost and development recommendations.

Position responsibilities include:
* Designing complex systems and specifications and lifecycle maintenance. Monitoring and enforcing coding standards, acting effectively as a team leader in these regards.
* Resolving complex programming difficulties.
* Preparing programs requiring a wide variety and extensive number of internal processing actions; developing analysis and design of systems and/or programs; producing, testing, and documenting program code; analyzing source and content of data; assisting others with debugging when necessary.
* Providing leadership and direction in the development of short and long range plans; collecting, interpreting, and preparing data for studies, reports and recommendations; coordinating activities with other departments as needed.
* Furnishing professional advice to management and department heads; making presentations to committees, task forces, and others, as needed.
* Insuring that assigned areas of responsibility are performed within budget; performing cost control activities; monitoring revenues and expenditures in assigned area to assure sound fiscal control; participating in annual budget planning; assuring effective and efficient use of budgeted funds, personnel, materials, facilities, and time.
* Determining work procedures, preparing work schedules, and promoting workflow; studying and standardizing procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
* Issuing written and oral instructions; assigning duties and inspecting work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
* Carrying out a variety of studies, reports and related information for decision-making purposes. Preparing charts, tables, and logic diagrams needed in problem analysis; forming complete descriptions of all specifications required; additionally, developing common operations which can be reused; developing analysis and design of systems and/or programs.
* Counseling appropriate personnel on the implications of new or revised systems.
* Examining, reviewing, and/or changing programs to adapt to changes in requirements or equipment configuration.
* Accomplishing related duties and achieving desired results as needed. Participating in Company or departmental planning sessions. When requested, contributing to other department workload deadlines.
* Providing backup support for related positions as needed.

Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in computer technology or near discipline or greater
* 7+ years of commercial programming in a LAMP environment
* Team lead and project supervisory experience.
Expert in MySQL, PHP, BASH Shell scripting, PERL, and C/C++
* Expert knowledge of IP protocols, Linux OS, MySQL DBMS
* Highly skilled with Internet, email, spreadsheets, databases
* Proven superior ability to learn how to effectively use new software/hardware tools
* Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical perception required.
* Good verbal and written communication skills required
* Team-oriented
