PHP Developer Position Open in Tempe, Arizona

We are looking for a hard working, experienced Web Application Developer to join our successful marketing and technology firm in Tempe, Arizona. The Web Application Developer will work with our marketing and art departments to create world-class websites and web-based applications for our loyal clients. This is not an entry-level position; we need a developer who can jump right in and start programming. Compensation for this full-time position includes a starting salary of $42,000 to $48,000 (depending on experience) plus benefits. Candidates must be local to the Phoenix area or must be able to relocate quickly at your own expense.

Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement enterprise-class websites and applications using open-source technologies (PHP, Postgre or MySQL, Linux and Apache)
* Revamp existing applications to bring them up to current standards
* Perform system administration functions for our Linux-based web, db and email servers
* Provide general technical support for our applications

Requirements:
* Expert in object-oriented PHP development (experience with PHP 5 is a plus)
* Expert in PostgreSQL or MySQL
* Expert in Linux and Apache
* Able to write PL/SQL, Perl and shell scripts
* Able to hand code HTML and CSS2
* Experience with XML, XPath and XSLT
* Experience writing shell scripts for automated tasks

* Samba
* LDAP
* Mac OS X
* Photoshop

I don't mean to be a snob or anything... But that not much money to pay for an experienced developer...

I appreciate the feedback, but that's what our budget will allow. We haven't had any trouble getting qualified candidates to apply, so it doesn't seem like we're under market.

Fair enough. I suppose the economy is probably different in Tempe than Denver anyway.
