I take it you are from a Gaming Clan? If so what kind of integration/CMS work are you looking for? Would you be looking to integrate your new layout with a free PHP forum where if you add news it automatically appears on the front page of your site?

What else would you be looking for as far as the content management system goes?

If you answer it once here you will save yourself the time in the future.

just how extensive is your idea of a $200 app? You may be better off themin an existing open source CMS, are there any features you need out of the ordinary that these would not offer?

Well,
We currently have a forum. So no need for one. We need to be able to do News, members w/ profiles, downloads, screenshots and demos, sponsors, and links. Every one of those should be able to Add/Delete/Edit.

Our budget might be flexible.

Just search Google for PHP Content Management System. Theres plenty of open source ones available that even a 5 year old could install and maintain. With all the features you listed and more.

Here is a list of what we would like:
(Note: This would be in a pop-up/module for Admins only)

1. Add/Delete/Edit News with a space for an image to the left. Title on the news post, along with posting date and who the post was by. Comments should be aloud on the news on another page (popup maybe). Also the Title and date would be posted on the "Recent News" Module.

2. Simple poll on the index with 4-5 option MAX. Also, when a new poll is created, add the old to an archive to save.

3. The login/Register module obviously that reports the Total registered users on the navigation bar.

3. Add/Delete/Edit roster. Including separated divisions (Look at index for example) and member profiles to go along with the members. Example of member profile I like: http://complexityclan.com/index.php?fil ... e&ID=61179
(Also if you look on their front page (Complexity) the drop down thing is what I’m looking for dealing with the rosters on the front page)

4. Add/Delete/Edit Matches. The soonest match be displayed on the front page with a small picture of the map. Also past matches displayed in a module with BDK vs. ___ and then the score in red if lost and green if won. All matches are archived.

5. Downloads will be just a list of links with a name to what it is. Most dloads just will be directed to another page. When clicked, warn the user he is leaving http://www.Badkarmasquad.org.

6. Gallery for Screenshots, Demos, and movies. Gallery items can be uploaded by anyone under the "Bad Karma (division group)" group.

7. Just a page about Bad Karma's history.

8. Add/Delete/Edit Sponsors. When added, ask for smaller banner on front page, and larger banner for the actual sponsor page. Have a small description on the actual sponsor page.

9. Just basic contact info to reach someone (Our leader most likely) in Bad karma.

*EDIT: Here is the site layout: http://h3ostudios.com/images/2sidebar.jpg *

Might want to take a look at Joomla!. It comes from the core developers of Mambo (long story), but is a heck of a lot better, open source, and free.

It's very client-friendly, meaning you would only need to pay someone to install, configure, and maybe hack it a little bit. Now I'd say if you gave them correct access to start with, and they were relatively smart, installation will be under an hour. The small changes to the software you may require, could range between an hour to 3ish. This means if they spend 4 hours working on it, you're paying them $50/hr, which is reasonable for a small project.
