Integrity Project Partners is seeking a Engineer Software II for our client, Cricket Communications. This is a full time, permanent opportunity based in San Diego.

Position Overview
The Software Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager, working on the company's various application development projects. The SE II will have a minimum of 3 years of hands on experience in software and information systems engineering. The SE II must be proficient in PHP, ASP, HTML, and Javascript. The SE II must also be proficient in general web graphic design using Photoshop and have previous experience with web site/page design. Additional proficiency in ColdFusion is ideal.
The SE will perform the following: 1) Programming and Implementation: Develops, refactors, tests, and deploys applications following the Software Development Life Cycle. Participates in the daily development process and provides mentoring for junior developers. Maintains configuration/source control of all application code developed. Performs code reviews and ensures proper code documentation. Develops robust and fault tolerant applications. 2) System Design: Designs applications to support business priorities such as online customer provisioning and customer support. Defines functional requirements from business requirements, formulates application and component models. Uses UML to define processes and flow. Creates design document for application development. Assists in the definition of data models. Develops alternate designs and analyzes trade-offs. 3) System Operations: Develops operations support requirements, standard operating procedures, operations guides, checklists, and other process related documents to enable the operations team to support any applications developed. Serves on application operations rotating watch lists to provide 24-hour on-call support in response to operations failures or other issues that require immediate attention. 4) Standards of Practice: Follows standards of practice and best practices for application design. Assists in the development of standards and procedures for applications - software, programming, testing, documentation, and security. Also, assists in the development of long and short range planning. 5) System Analysis and Architecture Planning. Working with senior team members, assists in the planning of application functionality. Helps translate conceptual business ideas into logical, modular architecture/application design and further into physical systems. Works with other technology groups to define system interfaces. Assists the development manager and senior developers in planning and technical direction for projects.
